About Elaine
Hello, Iām Elaine (she/her), a dedicated registered dietitian with a passion for helping individuals improve their health and well-being through a weight-neutral approach to nutrition. I have been a registered dietitian since 2017 and have experience working with clients on a variety of topics such as kidney disease, heart health, diabetes management, gastrointestinal concerns, and general health. I have experience working in an inpatient hospital setting, skilled nursing facility, and in working with patients at an outpatient dialysis clinic.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition counseling is rooted in empathy and understanding. I understand that every person's needs are unique, and will work with you to align those needs with a goal of finding satisfaction and joy in food. I believe in a weight-neutral approach and use a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework to focus on overall health and foster a positive relationship with food rather than intentional weight loss. My goal is to empower clients to make informed, sustainable choices that align with their personal goals and values.
Your first session with Elaine
During your initial appointment, we will get to know each other and establish your nutrition and health goals. I love taking time to learn about you as a whole person and your history with food and dieting. Together, we will develop a nutrition plan that incorporates nutrition recommendations to meet your goals.
