About Julie
I am a Registered Dietitian and lifelong athlete and foodie. I enjoy working with anyone who wants use nutrition to improve energy, performance, and health. I understand that making changes in food choices is challenging, and I utilize my training to develop evidence-based, personalized goals that fit a person's lifestyle and desired future. I specialize in sports nutrition and performance, general health and well-being, heart health, and non-restrictive approaches to weight management.
Approach to care
Everyone is unique. I will meet you where you are and help you take steps towards your health and performance goals. Like most members of my family, I am an educator who wants to equip you with accurate information, practical skills, and effective strategies that will empower and motivate you, even if it means trying something new.
Your first session with Julie
I am trained to facilitate conversation that will identify the root cause of nutritional issues. The first part is learning from you, especially your current issues or symptoms as well as your preferred health and performance outcomes. I will ask about past experiences with food and nutrition as well as your current lifestyle and how food and nutrition fit into it. I will work with you to establish a practical plan that works for you.

PhD in Health Behavior at Indiana University, Masters in Public Health Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University, and dual bachelor degrees in Human Nutrition as well as Exercise Science from The Ohio State University
