Patient reviews
“Kelsey is kind, a great listener, and very supportive. She helped me to compassionately reorient my relationship to food by helping me understand how work/life stressors affect my eating. I'm taking a little break, but hope to work with her again in the new year! “

About Kelsey
(She/Her) Howdy! I am a Health At Every Size® (HAES) aligned, non-diet, fat-positive Registered Dietitian. I work with folks across the disordered eating- Eating Disorder spectrum, those struggling with body image, chronic dieting, and health conditions such as: pre-diabetes, diabetes, PCOS, food allergies, and more. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and utilize evidence-based, weight-inclusive practices with all of my clients. I live in rural, northern Vermont with my partner (who, fun fact, makes maple syrup for a living) and my 2 adorable rescue pups!
Approach to care
I would describe my nutrition counseling style as compassionate, person-centered, and down-to-earth. I utilize therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, FBT, and Motivational Interviewing, plus add a dash of humor. I am passionate about assisting my clients to regain trust with their bodies and themselves. To approach wellness from a truly whole-body space, and move away from the pervasive "quick-fix" mentality.
Your first session with Kelsey
First time seeing an RD? No worries! It is quite similar to talk therapy. Together, we will complete a nutrition assessment, so that I can understand your current concerns and what you are looking to gain from nutrition counseling. I will start by reviewing what initial and follow up sessions will look like. During the assessment I will be collecting information such as: dieting/ Eating Disorder history, medical history, and what food & movement look like now. I will be sure to leave time for you to ask any questions you might have.

Hobbies
I love being outside—playing with my dogs, hiking, gardening, skiing, and enjoying s'mores around a campfire! I also read, strength train, practice yoga, love a good movie night, and have recently taken up embroidery and drums (and I'm embracing not being very good at that last one 😆)!
