About Kristina

Originally from the North East, I came to Florida for college. I first studied animal nutrition getting a bachelors in animal science. I changed to we humans in my doctoral work which focused on genetic impacts on health, dietary contributions of key nutrients, and behavioral lifestyle research. I also taught in nutrition, dentistry, and medicine and enjoy helping my patients build knowledge. I left Academia to work in primary care. While I have help patients mange chronic disease, GI health, PCOS, autoimmune health, and weight loss/gain I am passionate about evidence supported integrative and functional nutrition especially in gastrointestinal, immune and hormonal health.

Approach to care

I have a passion for getting to the root of the matter in my patients health journey, meeting them where they are at and helping them get to where to want to be. I do not believe nutrition and health are "one-size-fits all" as we are all diverse individuals and far more than the sum of our parts. As an integrative practitioner I consider all aspects of my patients lives when helping them make dietary shifts to improve their health. I can work with individuals from vegan to meat eater as well as specific dietary restrictions.

Your first session with Kristina

In our first session we will go over your general, nutritional and personal health history from birth to the current day. I this is the session to get all the information I will need to hep you with your goals. We will review the what (what is your primary concern) as well as the why (why is this important to you) and how (what can and will you do to make a difference) of making changes to your diet and related factors. You will be the driver of setting goals making changes that help improve your health in a realistic and sustainable way. This session will set us up to work together knowing the "big picture" and setting a plan for future sessions and timelines.
