About Sara
I'm Sara! I've been a registered dietitian for 6 years, based out of Billings, MT. I have worked in a variety of settings including acute care in a hospital (specifically cardiovascular, general diabetes, ICU, Psych, oncology and medical floor), nutrition services in a nursing homes, and most recently at dialysis clinic where I work with in-clinic and home dialysis patients.
Approach to care
In our society we are taught that food has moral value as "good" or "bad". The truth is that it's not as simple as that. My mission provide clients the tools they need to learn how to eat what they want without guilt, stress, and/or anxiety while also learning how to nourish themselves spiritually and physically so they can live their fullest lives. My vision is to create a space that provides men and women a safe space to learn how to trust themselves around food and to see it as a gift/nourishment, not merely an obligation to keep us alive.
Your first session with Sara
Expect a comprehensive discussion about your health historyand nutrition goals, including detailed questions about your eating habits, food preferences, and any medical conditions you may have. I may ask you to keep a food diary prior to the appointment to get a better picture of your typical intake, and may also discuss potential dietary changes and create a personalized plan based on your needs. This may include behavior changes in addition to dietary changes.
