About Abby
I live a quiet, simple life in a small town in Minnesota with my boyfriend Shane, our sweet Newfoundland-poodle mix Ella, and our cat Earl. Life here is slow and intentionalâjust the way I like it. You can often find me baking sourdough bread, hiking through the nearby state parks, or spending quality time with family and friends. At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for helping others. That passion led me to pursue a career in dietetics, where Iâve found incredible fulfillment in building meaningful, lasting relationships with my clients. Whether it's guiding someone on their wellness journey or just being a consistent, supportive presence in their life, I truly believe that small, caring connections can make the biggest impact.
Approach to care
As a Registered Dietitian, my approach to care is rooted in compassion, connection, and simplicity. I believe that nutrition support should feel personal and empoweringânot overwhelming. I take the time to truly listen to each clientâs story, values, and goals so we can create a sustainable plan together that fits their unique lifestyle. Whether we're addressing chronic conditions, navigating food relationships, or building healthier habits, I aim to make every session feel like a supportive conversation rather than a clinical appointment. My goal is to be a steady, encouraging presence on their journeyânot just a provider, but a partner in their long-term well-being.
Your first session with Abby
During our first session together, my goal is to get to know youânot just your health history, but who you are as a whole person. Weâll take time to talk through your goals, daily routines, eating habits, lifestyle, and any challenges youâve been facing. Iâll ask questions to better understand your medical background and what brought you to seek nutrition support, but the conversation will feel relaxed and collaborative. Together, weâll begin building a plan thatâs realistic, personalized, and rooted in your values. This session sets the foundation for a strong, trusting relationshipâone where you feel heard, supported, and empowered from the start.
