About Abby
Hi friend! Iāve been fortunate to be a Registered Dietitian for 18 years and have worked in a wide range of settings. Iām a nutrition generalist who enjoys supporting people through many stages of life, including the mid-life transition for both women and men. I also have experience working with clients using GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic or Wegovy to help them navigate nutrition changes that come with these treatments. Before becoming a Dietitian, I attended culinary school and I believe food should be joyful, flexible, and satisfying- not stressful! I am mom to 3 great kids, and friend to my husband- I understand how stress, emotions, and life experiences can affect appetite, weight, sleep, and body image. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward your personal health goals, whatever they may be!
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and real-life practicality. I believe you are the expert of your own body, and Iām here to support you with evidence-based guidance that fits your unique goals, preferences, and lifestyle. I donāt promote one-size-fits-all plans, fads, food rules, or guilt-based approaches. Instead, I focus on sustainable, personalized care, encouraging and guiding you- as you make change. My hope is that you walk away from each session feeling heard, supported, and empoweredāwith practical tools and a sense of positive progress. I want our time together to feel like a conversation, and for you to leave feeling more connected, confident, and cared for as you work toward your goals. I have a weight neutral approach and believe in prioritizing wellness over weigh loss.
Your first session with Abby
The first session is all about getting to know you, and what you hope to get from your Nourish sessions! There won't be too much education or goal setting during our very first session, -that will come later. Casual, comfortable and friendly is my goal for our time together. Sessions last @55 minutes, with wrap up and scheduling taking the last few minutes of our time together. Please be prepared to schedule your upcoming appointments prior to the end of our first session.
