About Abigail
With 13 years as a Registered Dietitian, my work blends clinical hospital experience and community health practice. My MS in Applied Nutrition from Lamar University informs how I translate science into practical steps. As an RDN and LDN, I prioritize clear, teachable strategies that can realistically be applied outside of sessions. I believe nutrition guidance should feel approachable and relevant. Outside of work, I garden, bake, knit, and sew to stimulate my mind and satisfy creative needs. I aim for our time together to feel positive, uplifting, and sustainable so we can make changes that fit your real life.
Approach to care
Science shapes the recommendations I offer, but your day-to-day life shapes how we use them. I practice from a weight-neutral, behavior-focused perspective, honoring the whole person, not just numbers on a chart. Our work together will be direct and action-oriented, yet warm and no-njudgmental. I focus on education and practical skills so you'll leave sessions with knowledge and doable steps. We'll build sustainable habits together, adjusting as life changes.
Your first session with Abigail
Expect a relaxed, thorough conversation where we review medical history, lab work and biometrics, and explore your current eating habits and relationship with food. We'll talk about wins, frustrations, and what you actually want to prioritize. Together we'll set short-term goals and agree on clear next steps. You will leave with direction but not pressure. You don't need to have it all figured out. Just bring questions, honesty, and willingness to take one healthier step at a time.
