About Abigail
Welcome! I am glad that you are here and I can't wait to start working with you. I have been a dietitian since 2018 and have worked in many roles including inpatient and outpatient care, individual and group sessions, as well as in-person and virtual care. I believe that what we put into our bodies has a profound impact on how we feel including but not limited to our energy levels, mood/focus, and our long-term health. As a busy mom, I understand that time is valuable and good health and nutrition should not feel like an extra job, but instead seamlessly blend into our daily habits and schedules. Beyond nutrition coaching I am most likely spending time with my kids and family, trying new restaurants, or sitting down with a good book.
Approach to care
I am a firm believer that food is medicine! I believe that what we put into our bodies has a huge impact on preventing and/or managing chronic conditions. I also believe that good nutrition does not need to be overly complicated. While staying up to date on research I strive to help you decipher between true science-backed information vs. the newest fads/trends that often do not lead to long-term success. I also value your time and constantly work to integrate healthy habits and changes that work with your unique goals in mind. I love truly getting to know those who I work with and I look forward to celebrating all of the wins along the way! I will provide evidence-based guidance that is tailored to your unique needs and aimed for long-term success. Lastly, I believe that optimizing success comes from a two-way conversation. I love answering any and all questions, providing research and personalized meal plans, as well as navigating hurdles and finding solutions to overcome them.
Your first session with Abigail
During our first session my goal is to get to know YOU! This includes your reason for working with a dietitian, any relevant medical information, your specific goals/desires, and your nutrition/food background. I will also learn about other health aspects in your life including stress, sleep, physical activity, and your daily routines. In this session we will begin to set the foundation for optimizing your health goals and tailoring a nutrition plan that works for you. I invite you to bring any questions you have and to be specific about your goals and expectations. I look forward to being on this health journey together!
