About Abigail
Hello, I’m so glad you found my page! My name is Abby, I’ve been a registered dietitian for over two years now. My studies focused on health promotion, disease prevention, and food security. My full time job is at a Food Bank where I serve as a Nutrition Coordinator and deliver nutrition education to communities. I am always brainstorming new budget friendly healthy meals. I have celiac disease and am passionate about helping folks with allergies navigate food choices. I specialize in helping clients identify which foods are the best for their condition/ goal and help facilitate clients in making specific, measurable, achievements in a realistic and timely manner (SMART goals).
Approach to care
I am a great listener that loves to share information and recommendations. I enjoy explaining the WHY so you will be happy to learn healthier habits and why they are recommended. I like to use a lot of visual language and similes to make the complex scientific language easier to understand. You will be welcomed into a no judgement, empathetic space. I understand that some nutrition related issues can be related to trauma.
Your first session with Abigail
I have to get to know you/ your lifestyle before I make any recommendations! We will discuss your nutritional history, nutritional issues, food budget, knowledge, physical activity, cooking ability, food preferences, and goals that you may have. We will then work together to create a blueprint to help you achieve your health goals.
