About Abigail
Hi there! I am Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management! My two favorite specialties are performance nutrition and weight management but I also love discussing new topics in nutrition/research, reviewing and educating on supplements/supplement safety, and helping individuals navigate through all the crazy nutrition information that is out there! Past experience: U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Private Practice, United States Olympic Teams/Athletes, NCAA Division I Teams/Athletes
Approach to care
I focus on individualized care with my patients and my goal is to always find something that works for you specifically! My motto: if you can't see yourself doing this 10 years from now, we need to find another strategy! It is so important to make sure the approach you choose in nutrition is sustainable for you and your lifestyle! My goal is to never flip anyone's life upside down, but to ease our way into making changes and go at the pace that works for YOU!
Your first session with Abigail
I love to get to know my patients in our first session together! This helps me not only learn more about you as a person but also determine what strategy we want to use moving forward to help you achieve your goals in the most sustainable way! We will review your goals, medical and nutrition history (including labs), any supplements you are taking, your lifestyle habits, and eating and exercise patterns. From there, we will dive into some of the nutrition information necessary to work on your goals and select certain aspects to work on between our first appointment and the next session!
