About Addie

Hi! I’m Addie O’Neill, MS, RD, a Registered Dietitian with advanced training in medical and pediatric nutrition. I earned my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Saint Louis University and completed diverse clinical and community rotations across inpatient and outpatient settings. I’ve provided medical nutrition therapy for individuals across the lifespan, supporting conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, renal disease, oncology, high-risk pregnancy, and pediatric nutrition needs. I found my calling to nutrition counseling through personal experiences navigating medical challenges, which shaped my belief in the power of individualized, evidence-based nutrition care to restore a sense of empowerment and control over one’s health. This perspective fuels my passion for helping patients reach their health and nutrition goals.

Approach to care

My counseling approach is grounded in empathy, mutual respect, body autonomy, and cultural humility. I prioritize collaborative goal-setting and individualized strategies that consider each client’s lifestyle, culture, budget, and health history. I believe health extends far beyond weight, and I work with clients to create realistic, sustainable plans that support long-term well-being—without judgment or pressure for perfection.

Your first session with Addie

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know you—your health history, lifestyle, preferences, and your personal “why” for seeking nutrition counseling. We’ll discuss what feels most important to you right now and what you hope to gain from our work together. Together, we will begin creating realistic, achievable SMART goals that align with your priorities. You’ll receive personalized nutrition guidance, have the opportunity to ask questions, and leave with an initial plan tailored to your needs. This plan is flexible and meant to evolve as we learn more about what works best for you. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and empowered as we take the first steps toward improving your health through nutrition.
