About Alejandra
Hello, Iβm Alejandra, bilingual Registered Dietitian. My journey as a Dietitian started back in 2008 when I was working in the pharmaceutical industry for Diabetes Care in the state of Chihuahua. I understood since then the importance of providing education to the community to help improve their health outcomes. In 2012, I started working with the elderly, providing education in Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, among other conditions. I have been working since then with adults and geriatric population focusing in Diabetes and Renal nutrition.
Approach to care
I focus on providing evidence-based, easy to understand nutrition information and recommendations in a compassionate and caring manner. I believe variety, flavor and honoring cultural preferences are keys to joyful nutrition. Together we will come up with a plan that will allow you to reach your goals.
Your first session with Alejandra
During your first session with me, an initial nutrition assessment will be conducted where I can get to learn about your reasons for seeking medical nutrition therapy. I will gather information on medical conditions, medications, supplements, food allergies or intolerances, weight history, and any symptoms or concerns relevant to their health.
