About Alejandra
Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! My name is Alejandra and I'm a Registered Dietitian based in South Texas, where our love for food runs deep. I have experience working in an inpatient clinical setting, providing nutrition care to patients with a wide range of health conditions. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help and care for others, which led me to a field I’m deeply passionate about. I believe that healthy eating can include the cultural foods we know and love. My goal is to help you make sustainable, well-informed decisions that support your long-term health — all while keeping traditions alive at the table.
Approach to care
My approach is to deliver evidence-based care grounded in empathy, collaboration, and personalization. As a dietitian, I blend my passion for nutrition with a strong commitment to guiding others toward healthier, more balanced lives. My goal is to foster a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment where we can explore your relationship with food, movement, and overall well-being. I believe in focusing on adding nourishing foods to your meals rather than restricting them, helping you build a positive and sustainable approach to eating. I listen attentively to design practical, realistic plans that honor your cultural and personal preferences while simplifying complex nutrition concepts into clear, actionable steps. Whether your aim is to manage a chronic condition, increase energy, or enhance overall health, I believe meaningful, lasting change comes from working together and setting realistic goals.
Your first session with Alejandra
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and, most importantly, ensure you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll start by exploring your medical history, daily eating habits, food preferences, and your personal goals, to build a strong foundation for our work together. By the end of this session, we’ll create realistic, personalized goals including short-term targets we’ll check in on regularly and long-term objectives we’ll work toward as we build consistent, sustainable habits and routines.
