About Alessandra

Hi, I'm Alessandra. With 14 years as a Registered Dietitian, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from C.W Post Long Island University. My career spans in outpatient hemodialysis, clinical care at a level I trauma hospital and outpatient nutrition counseling at various clinics located throughout the New York area. I’ve learned that the best nutrition care is warm, practical, and tailored. I work with the belief that science guides us, but empathy keeps us moving forward. You’ll often find me spending time with my family and rescue dog or in the kitchen on my free time. I love creating fun recipes and translating nutrition into everyday life. I’m proud to hold credentials as an RD and RDN, which anchor my approach to evidence informed care.

Approach to care

I believe care should be evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative. We'll approach nutrition as a dynamic partnership where current research informs our plan but your lived experience guides the pace. My approach is weight-neutral and focused on sustainable habits, not quick fixes; I support Health At Every Size principles and tailor strategies to what you can maintain long term. We’ll look at sleep, stress, activity, and meals as a whole, and I’ll explain the why behind each step so you can own your choices. Education is key to lasting change.

Your first session with Alessandra

Our first session is all about you. Think of it as a conversation designed to understand your relationship with food, your goals, and what has brought you here. We'll review your medical history and any recent lab work or biometrics, and we’ll discuss what may be impacting your eating patterns. There is no need to have everything figured out before we meet; this is a low pressure, judgment-free space. Together we’ll set 1 or 2 short term goals to start, and we’ll outline practical steps and timelines so you know what to do next and feel confident moving forward.
