About Alexandra
Alexia may be like you... She didn't know what to do after a heart attack at 38, especially since she grew up in diet culture and had to work to manage weight. So, she became an RD and got certified in culinary nutrition, health coaching, and as a weight management specialist. Now, she has 12+ years experience coaching 1000s in private practice, at university, and in worksite wellness to help people live healthier lives. Specialties: heart health, cholesterol, blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and weight loss through ending chronic diet cycling/binge eating (not accepting ARFID, OSFED, anorexia, binge-purge disorders).
Approach to care
Alexia believes in science, humor, and delicious food. We focus on mindset, simplicity, flexibility, and breaking food rules. She like to work with people on non-diet/mindful eating, macros (that means eating, not restricting), and more plant-based or Mediterranean style diets. But, Alexia will not tell you what to do (as you know that never works for long). You are the expert on yourself. Alexia is the expert on food, nutrition, and behavior change theory. We have to work together to find the best solutions for your unique lifestyle and your specific health and nutrition goals.

Expect a lot of questions. For real. We talk about your concerns, health, history, habits, and more. You will get information on what to expect and can ask questions. We may choose one small thing for you to start with until we meet again. The next session is where we roll up our sleeves and dig in with an action plan just for you. So, say good-bye to overwhelm, to relying on willpower, and to depriving yourself of foods you love.
