About Alexandra
Hi, I'm Alexandra! I'm a Registered Dietitian based in upstate NY. I blend evidence-based science with a holistic, compassionate approach. My career has carried me from clinical hospital floors to community health, and into restaurant work, and even food labeling and regulations. I value practical nutrition that fits real life and helps you feel confident in your choices. Outside of work, I love hosting dinner parties, watching and playing sports, ice skating, and reading. I want you to know you as a person, not just a patient, and Iβm here to support you with warmth and curiosity as we explore your goals together.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition care is rooted in the belief that what we eat is one of the most powerful tools we have for shaping how well, and how long, we live. My dietetics training was immersed in the science of aging, the interplay between nutrition and genetics, and the evidence linking everyday food choices to long-term disease prevention and quality of life. That foundation shapes everything about how I work with patients. I don't believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all plans. Instead, I take time to understand your full picture: your medical history, your lifestyle, your goals, and where you are in your health journey, so that the care we build together is genuinely personalized and sustainable. My role is to meet you where you are and help you build habits you can actually maintain for life.
Your first session with Alexandra
Your first session is 55 minutes and is really about getting to know you. More than your health history, but your lifestyle, your goals, and what's brought you here. There's no judgment and no pressure. Think of it as a conversation, not a clinical intake. We'll get to your "why", what's motivating you to make a change and what you're hoping to feel different about in your life. From there, we'll do a comprehensive nutrition assessment together, reviewing your medical history, current eating habits, medications, labs if you have them, and any relevant lifestyle factors like sleep, stress, and movement. By the end of the session, we'll have a shared understanding of where you are, and we'll set some initial short- and long-term goals together. You'll leave with clear, actionable next steps that aren't overwhelming, but a realistic starting point that fits your actual life. We'll also schedule your follow-up sessions to keep the momentum going.
