About Alexis
I have been a Dietitian for 7 years and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict. I have worked in retail dietetics, adolescent mental health and am passionate about disordered eating and food freedom. I am also a yoga instructor, wife, mother and own a play cafe in my hometown!
Approach to care
I approach nutrition through a food freedom lens with a counseling style. I believe that your relationship with food needs to be healed before introducing nutrition nitty gritty. I want to help you debunk nutrition myths, de-tether food and morality and educate you on how to feed your body appropriately. I especially love helping parents and moms from conception-school age kids feel confident in feeding themselves and their littles.
Your first session with Alexis
During your first session we will go through your food story and how you feel like your past eating habits are shaping your current life. We will go through your expectations for long term and what your values are. We will use these values to decide together on short and long-term eating and nutrition goals.
