About Alexis
Hi! My name is Alexis Rodriguez, but most know me as AJ! I’m a registered dietitian passionate about helping individuals build a healthy, confident relationship with food while feeling their best—both physically and mentally. I believe nutrition should be personalized, compassionate, and sustainable, which is why I tailor my care to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. I specialize in general health, eating disorders, emotional eating, sports and performance nutrition, thyroid disorders, women’s health, and pre- and postnatal nutrition. My approach is rooted in intuitive eating, strengthening your relationship with food, and evidence-based research. I believe that small, meaningful changes can lead to lasting results.
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in compassionate, evidence-based nutrition counseling and motivational interviewing. I work collaboratively with each client to better understand their goals, challenges, and day-to-day life so we can create realistic, sustainable changes together. I emphasize progress over perfection and strive to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence to make choices that support both their physical health and overall well-being. I believe food should be both nourishing and enjoyable, and I’m passionate about helping clients build a positive relationship with food.
Your first session with Alexis
During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—not just your nutrition goals. We’ll discuss your health history, lifestyle, routines, and your relationship with food, along with any challenges or concerns you may have. I’ll take the time to understand your preferences, values, and what truly matters to you so we can work collaboratively to create a personalized, realistic plan that feels supportive and empowering rather than restrictive. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, confident, and equipped with small, meaningful next steps as we begin building sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with food.
