About Alexis
I first became an RD in 2013 working in an outpatient multi specialty clinic. There I gained experience in many different areas including pediatrics, weight loss but had a strong emphasis in diabetes. I became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2015 and have been working in diabetes care and management for the majority of my career. Since 2022 I've been working with pregnant women with diabetes. My goal is to help them control glucose levels but also improve overall health with diet changes and education they can use for the future years. I have 2 small children and enjoy playing and experiencing new things with them. I also love to read!
Approach to care
I am very honest and open with my patients. I want to meet you where you are and focus on what you feel is most achievable and most impactful to your life. I hope we can laugh together and I hope I can learn as much from you as you can from me! I will recommend science based principles but we can also work to incorporate your preferences and goals to changes. I hope to support you in every change and goal.
Your first session with Alexis
Lots of questions :) I'm also very high energy! Our sessions will definitely be informative but I want to listen and hear what has worked for you in the past and where you're wanting to go in the future.
