About Alexis
Food is a daily activity that has always fascinated me. The passion I have for eating (and eating well) led me to Dietetics. I have been a dietitian for 10 years. I gained my specialty certification in diabetes management in 2017 as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. I am also certified in obesity and weight management. Throughout my career, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient services as well as in the virtual space for the last 5 years.
Approach to care
The appointments we have together are about you. We will focus on your needs. I am here to walk with you on your journey to improved health and wellness. Be ready for cheerleader, but also a challenger. Help me to help you. My approach is "food first."
Your first session with Alexis
You can expect that I will ask questions to gather more information about your needs. We will focus on what's most important to you as well as explore any other needs that may be identified. We will establish a focus for our journey and identify your goals.

Hobbies
Family first (mother of 3, wife). I enjoy attending sporting events, playing when I get the chance. As a family, we enjoy running 5Ks and I consider myself part of the "Sloth Running Club." I prefer to be outside hiking and would love to spend every day on the beach.
