About Alice
Hello and Welcome! I'm Alice Clark, a Masters Degree Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with experience working in both hospital and private practice nutrition settings, focusing on diabetes, weight loss/gain, disordered eating, allergies, gut health, and kidney disease. I take pride in exploring and celebrating whole foods nutrition and natural health. I pride myself on having a sense of humor and making eating and meal changes interesting and fun. My patients choose what feels "doable" for them and we start there. I've lived in 7 states including Oregon, Washington, Ohio, California, Indiana, Connecticut and Colorado. There are a lot of different ways to eat and I do think ALL foods can fit. My children are grown but I still prepare meals for my husband and extended family on a weekly basis. I'd love to help you meal prep for improved health, even if you have a busy schedule with work/school or life on the go! Let’s see what amazing changes we can make together!
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science and personal rapport. I rely on current evidence-based research to guide our plan, while staying understanding in our interaction. As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), I translate complex health information into practical steps you can use. I practice Health at Every Size (HAES) and favor sustainable change over a quick fix. I believe you are the expert on YOU and the foods you like. I bring an understanding of food chemistry and metabolism alongside your current patterns and we will evaluate them together. My patients have improved their diets, learned how to cook vegetables, balanced their blood sugar, lost over 80 pounds, started daily exercise routines and reversed their diabetes progression. We do this work together at a pace that feels manageable to you!
Your first session with Alice
I have a smile, a sense of humor, and I'm pretty laid back. I offer a safe, welcoming space where you can feel it's your turn--to tell me about you, what you've been told, what you've tried, and what brings you here. There's no food or behavior pattern that's "wrong" or "bad." We are all on a journey and I'd like to help make yours healthier, and easier. We will discuss your health history, current goals and what's most important to you.
