About Alina

Hello! My name is Alina and my goal as a dietitian is to make healthy eating sustainable, enjoyable, and fit into your life without taking time away from your other interests and obligations. I am well-versed in budget grocery shopping and time-efficient meals/snacks. I have provided one-on-one counseling in multiple settings over the last 5 years, focusing on telehealth for the last year and a half. I started my career working in the hospital setting, where I gained experience working with a variety of disease states, disordered eating, and cancer care. I've spent the last 3 years counseling patients with chronic kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, and other related conditions.

Approach to care

Food is just as important for our mental well-being as it is for our physical. I am here to not only provide you with education and tools but also to work together to find ways to fit your recommendations into your day-to-day. It is my goal to make healthy eating fit easily into your life. Each session we will work on making small changes that add up over time. My approach is to emphasize whole foods, limit ultra-processed foods, and heal your relationship with food while we find the balance that is most sustainable for you. It is important to me that you enjoy what you eat every day. We will focus more on what foods we can add to our diets and less about taking away.

Your first session with Alina

In our first session we will have a list of intake questions to go over to help me get to know you. We will discuss your nutrition preferences, goals, habits, motivators, concerns, and interests. It is okay to come to the first session without an idea of what your goals are. I will make sure to leave time to discuss any questions you may have. After your initial session, our meetings will be much more conversational. Often, I will review resources with you in real time and demonstrate how to use different tools. It is my hope that you look forward to our time together. I am always open to your suggestions or preferences in how you would like our sessions to go.
