About Alison
Before becoming a dietitian, I worked as a research coordinator on clinical trials, and was also a research assistant for a study on food insecurity. While I enjoyed making a difference on a broad scale, I found myself noticing the huge benefit that one-on-one nutrition counseling had for patients. Since then, I completed my masters in Nutrition & Public Health, and gained experience in women's health, diabetes, gastrointestinal health, and many other areas. I enjoy staying up-to-date with new research and using evidence-based strategies to address nutrition needs. I love meeting new patients and learning how I can best use my expertise to guide their unique health and nutrition journeys.
Approach to care
Making nutrition changes can be hard - that's why I like to take things one step at a time. Every individual is unique, so I value taking a personalized and collaborative approach to goal-setting. We'll work together to determine how new changes can complement your daily life and habits - rather than adding more items to your "to-do" list!
Your first session with Alison
At your first session, I look forward to getting to know you, learning which areas of nutrition/lifestyle bring you here, and setting some initial goals together. It's your session, so I'm here for whatever nutrition-related topic you'd like to discuss! π
