About Allegra

Allegra Gast is a registered dietitian and IBCLC lactation consultant. She became passionate about nutrition after seeing how evidence-based dietary guidance can meaningfully improve health outcomes across all stages of life. With a strong interest in preventive wellness and women’s health, she is committed to making nutrition practical, approachable, and personalized for each client she serves. Allegra provides general nutrition counseling and specializes in areas such as women’s health, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and nutrient balance. She combines traditional medical nutrition therapy with functional nutrition insights to help clients optimize energy, digestion, metabolic health, and overall well-being. Allegra believes in supporting the whole person—not just symptoms—through compassionate education and realistic strategies that fit everyday life. She is a mom to 4 kids including twins.

Approach to care

Allegra’s approach to care blends evidence-based nutrition therapy with a functional, root-cause perspective. She focuses on understanding the “why” behind symptoms—looking at digestion, minerals, hormones, stress, and lifestyle—to create personalized plans that are both realistic and effective. Her care is compassionate, supportive, and centered on meeting clients where they are.

Your first session with Allegra

At your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive conversation focused on understanding your unique health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. Allegra will walk you through a comprehensive nutrition assessment, review any relevant lab work, and identify priority areas to address. Together, you’ll create an initial plan that feels realistic and manageable—whether that’s improving energy, supporting postpartum recovery, balancing nutrients, or addressing general nutrition concerns. You’ll leave the session with clear next steps and a deeper understanding of how nutrition can support your overall well-being
