About Allison
It has been 11 years since I first became a Registered Dietitian (RD). I am grateful to still feel as inspired and passionate, as the first day I became one, and perhaps even more. My favorite part of my job is being a part of the journey to achieve long lasting habits that improve a patient's quality of life through food and body movement. I live in Kansas City, MO, with my husband and four children. My kids are my why, and partnering alongside patients in their nutrition needs is my purpose.
Approach to care
I am a seasoned dietitian who aims to be an accountability partner, an encouraging sentiment, a cheerleader for positive changes, and a loyal soundboard in practice (all RDs are!). Life is challenging and so is working on new habits. I understand that change is hard, and no two patients are exactly the same. Individualized care is the way to reach success, and I am always willing to work together to find a creative strategy that fits my patients life and unique needs. I genuinely love helping people improve their energy, discover ways to move their body that they enjoy and learn about how to eat food they love, to best fuel their lives.
Your first session with Allison
In order to create a personalized and specific nutrition plan, an assessment will be completed to gain necessary information about the medical history of a patient, the variables that impact food choices, barriers to change, daily schedule, dietary intake, physical activity level, personal goals to focus on, and creation of shared goals to enhance quality of life.
