About Allison

Hi there! I’m Allison, a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s in Public Health. With a strong background in working with public health agencies, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and communities adopt healthier lifestyles on a larger scale. In addition, I have experience teaching at the university level, where I’ve shared my passion for nutrition with students eager to make an impact in the field. My extensive nutrition counseling experience, particularly through telehealth, has allowed me to connect with and support individuals from all walks of life. I’m deeply passionate about helping you create sustainable, lifelong habits that feel good—not forced. I look forward to working with you and supporting your journey to better health!

Approach to care

I strive to be a safe, inclusive space for people of all identities. I believe that lasting change begins with self-compassion and kindness—not shame. My approach is grounded in support, understanding, and deep respect for your lived experience. You know your body best, and I’m here to listen and learn from you. Together, we’ll explore the unique barriers that may be standing in the way of sustainable change. From there, we’ll create a personalized path forward—one that honors your goals, needs, and values. My focus is on nourishment, not restriction. I emphasize nutrition by addition: adding in what supports you, fuels you, and brings joy. I truly believe that food can be both pleasurable and health-supportive, and my goal is to help you rediscover peace and freedom in your relationship with food.

Your first session with Allison

Our first session is all about getting to know each other and making sure we’re a good fit for working together. This is a chance for me to conduct a thorough assessment to create a personalized treatment plan that works for you. We’ll review important details like your current dietary patterns, recent lab values, and any childhood experiences you may have had around food. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask me any questions and set boundaries for our work together, ensuring we are aligned on expectations. Most importantly, I’m here to listen to your story, understand your unique challenges, and help you discover your goals when it comes to nutrition and health.
