About Allison

Hi, My name is Allison. I have been a dietitian for 13 years and have worked with multiple conditions including weight management, healthy eating, diabetes, GI conditions (Celiac Disease, Crohn's disease, IBS, IBD), and food allergies just to name a few. I enjoy talking with clients and really getting to know them so I can better assist them in their nutrition/lifestyle journey. Throughout my life, I have had health concerns and weight struggles that I have had to work through and believe it has made me a stronger practitioner because of it. I want to help clients have a good relationship with food, learn to love themselves, and live life to the fullest whether they have a new health condition that needs nutritional changes or are wanting to lose weight. If you are looking for someone who will listen to your concerns and help you make lasting changes, book with me today!

Approach to care

I take a well rounded, root cause approach to care when working with clients. I also listen to client concerns and help empower the client to make changes instead of just giving recommendations that may not work with your lifestyle. I like to look at all areas that can impact our health including sleep, stress, activity levels (and ability to be active), nutrition, and GI health. I encourage clients to take one step at a time starting with small habits and building on those as they go along their journey. I always celebrate small wins like being able to walk farther without being tired or not needing the afternoon pick me up coffee because you're feeling better. Celebrating the small wins can help keep you motivated to keep going.

Your first session with Allison

During your first session, It is a time for us to get to know each other. I will ask questions to get to know you, your lifestyle, concerns and reason for scheduling an appointment with me. We will have some housekeeping things to discuss like scheduling visits, how to get in touch with me, etc. I also want to give you time to ask me any questions about working with me. We may briefly discuss some nutrition recommendations and set one new goal to work on until the next follow up.
