Approach to care
My approach to nutrition care is centered around personalization, practicality, and enjoyment. I believe that food should not only nourish the body but also fit seamlessly into your lifestyle and bring joy to your everyday routine. I strive to work collaboratively with clients to create realistic and sustainable nutrition plans that reflect their unique food preferences, cultural background, schedule, and health needs. I focus on finding flexible strategies that make healthy eating less stressful, enjoyable, and satisfying. By combining evidence-based guidance with a compassionate understanding of your circumstances, I help clients build a positive relationship with food, discover confidence in the kitchen, and enjoy meals that are both flavorful and functional.
Your first session with Allison
Our first session together is all about getting to know you. We'll take the time to understand your goals, and discuss what you would like to get out of working together. We will discuss health and medical history, talk about current eating habits, lifestyle, and daily routine. I'll ask about your typical meals, food preferences, and any challenges you face with nutrition or cooking. This will create a complete picture of your health and needs. We will identify focus areas and set realistic, achievable goals. You will leave the session with a clear action plan tailored to your lifestyle, including practical strategies and small steps you can start implementing right away.
