About Allison
For over twenty years, Allison has focused on eating and body image disorders, PCOS, diabetes, heart disease, GI disorders, obesity and more. Her services are offered to children, teens, and adults. Allison helps people develop a safe relationship with food, not through dieting, but by helping them focus on the foods they can eat even when faced with difficult circumstances.
Approach to care
Allison emphasizes a non-diet approach and a focus on mindful eating to help her patients reach and sustain positive health changes. She helps individuals change their relationship with food and reach their wellness goals by matching them with the right tools for success. Working with Allison means viewing nutrition counseling through the lens of progress, and not perfection.
Your first session with Allison
In your first session with Allison, you will begin to focus on nutrition and the role food plays for you. It may be new for you to think about how you approach eating in this way, but it's also likely to be quite insightful. Through collaboration and conversation, we'll begin to lay the groundwork for helping you meet your nutrition goals. We'll consider how to shift your relationship with food to achieve these goals.
