About Ally

As a Registered Dietitian I am passionate about helping people feel their best through the power of nutrition. I have experience working with diverse patient populations in the acute care setting at large NYC teaching hospitals, and I am a Certified Specialist in Nutrition Support, helping patients manage tube feeds and TPN. In addition to my clinical work, I am an avid runner and marathoner, and help clients master fueling for performance. As someone with Celiac Disease myself, I care deeply about working with patients who are navigating GI disorders and/or dietary restrictions including allergies and intolerances. I am also passionate about helping those struggling with disordered eating and eating disorders find food freedom.

Approach to care

My approach to care looks at each client as an individual with unique needs, personalities, motivations, and preferences. I want to take time to get to know you as a person while we work on optimizing a plan that will take into account your lifestyle and goals. I believe in a weight-neutral approach and embrace the Health-At-Every-Size (HAES) philosophy. I also take into account cultural backgrounds and traditions, and aim to incorporate your cultural foods into our plans. I want to provide a warm, welcoming space for you to share openly and freely about something that is so deeply personal- food!

Your first session with Ally

In our first session, we will get to know each other. I will ask you to share details about your current diet, exercise, medical history, medications, allergies/intolerances, food preferences, and lifestyle, so we can tailor a plan that will best suit your needs. Together we will create goals to work towards, and you will come away from the session with tangible action items to work on in the coming week.
