About Alysia
Hi my name is Alysia, and I consider myself an all-foods-fit dietitian. I've been a foodie all my life but have been practicing as a dietitian for 4 years. I love teaching others about nutrition for diabetes, heart-related conditions, and nutrition for kiddos and families. I've also worked with professional and rookie athletes to enhance their performance and can help with goals in this arena. I'm a firm believer that food is meant to be enjoyed and that your health goals can still be met without having to sacrifice culture, taste, and community. Together we can create a plan that works for you and set realistic goals each week to help you measure your progress.
Approach to care
I like to work collaboratively and use a step-by-step approach to achieve results and a positive relationship with food. I also believe there are many factors that contribute to health and it's important to consider these when making changes. It's important to me that I help guide and educate with your permission because ultimately, you are the expert of your health and you know you best!
Your first session with Alysia
I love learning about my patients and about their day-to-day activities. This gives me an idea of how we can make small nutrition changes to fit into your lifestyle. I will ask questions about your home life, work schedule, sleep schedule, nutrition goals, what's worked/hasn't worked for you in the past and we can review anything else that you feel will help with our goal setting.
