About Alyssa
Hi, I’m Alyssa, a Registered Dietitian, with an M.S. from CSUN and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. I currently work at Kaiser Permanente and previously worked at USC, where I learned that nutrition care is most effective when it’s practical and person-centered. My background as a Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette shaped my appreciation for discipline, creativity, and consistency—values I bring to my clients every day. When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me hiking, practicing yoga, running, or cooking. I’m here to listen, understand your story, and support you as we build healthy habits that last.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science and humanity. I base plans on current evidence and tailor them to your life, preferences, and values. We’ll work together in a warm, nonjudgmental space, with clear action steps so you feel confident moving forward. I practice with a health at every size mindset, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than quick fixes or dieting culture. Holistic care means we consider sleep, stress, movement, and your relationship with food as a whole. I believe education empowers you to own your health and make informed choices that stick long term.
Your first session with Alyssa
Our first session is all about you. Think of it as a conversation, not an evaluation. We'll review your medical history, current labs and biometrics, and explore your history with food and your relationship to meals. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet; I’m here to listen and learn. Together we’ll outline short term goals and create a practical initial meal plan that fits your life. By the end, you’ll know what we’re aiming for and have a clear sense of the next steps we’ll take together.
