About Alyssia

Nutrition has been the throughline of my life, taking me from a BS at Brigham Young University to four years working as a Registered Dietitian in clinical hospital settings and private practice. As a mom of two young toddlers, I get how family meals can be joyful and chaotic, and I use that real-life perspective when I help people with postpartum nutrition, prediabetes, diabetes including gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and feeding the whole family. When I’m off the clock you’ll find me in Zumba, stretching in yoga, hiking with the kids, or experimental hobby baking. I aim to help you build sustainable habits that fit your life, not add another perfect plan to the pile.

Approach to care

Evidence guides my recommendations, and your life guides how we use that evidence. I blend current research and proven protocols with warm, judgment-free support so we can set clear, practical steps together. I focus on behaviors and health outcomes, and I consider the whole person, including sleep, stress, movement, and emotions. I’m direct and action-oriented, so we’ll make measurable, sustainable changes while I also teach you the why behind each choice. The goal is lasting habits you can keep long term.

Your first session with Alyssia

Expect a relaxed, supportive conversation where we review your medical history and identify short-term goals that feel doable. You don’t need perfect food tracking or all the answers before we meet. I’ll listen to your story, ask focused questions about routines and struggles, and together we’ll map out a few specific next steps with practical strategies and accountability. Whether you’re managing gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, or working on family nutrition and healing your relationship with food, we’ll move at a pace that respects your realities and sets you up for lasting progress.
