About Amanda
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 16 years of experience and a passion for helping people live healthier. I received my bachelor's degree in dietetics from Michigan State University and completed my dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina. I am a busy mom of two young children who understands that it's not always easy to prioritize your health but wants to help you make it possible.
Approach to care
My nutrition philosophy is one that uses a truly individualized approach, understanding that each person has unique goals, needs, and barriers. I believe in a whole foods first approach that emphasizes balance over restriction and incorporates all aspects of health, accounting for exercise, sleep, and stress.
Your first session with Amanda
Our first session will be getting to know YOU. I will ask a lot of questions to get a full understanding of your lifestyle habits, medical and nutrition history, assess how you're feeling and your nutrition needs, and what a typical day/week looks like for you. Together, we will come up with a personalized plan with realistic and sustainable action steps that will help you reach your goals.
