About Amanda

Hi, I'm Amanda. With 20 years as a Registered Dietitian and a PhD in Applied & Community Nutrition, I blend science with real-life practicality to help people nourish themselves without guilt. I’ve worked in research and academia and in community health, learning what it takes for healthy eating to fit real lives. I carry my RDN credential with pride, and I bring a curious, collaborative approach to every session. When I’m not at the desk, I enjoy learning from the people and places around me and exploring ways to connect food, health, and everyday joy in meaningful ways.

Approach to care

Everything I do starts with evidence and empathy. I stay grounded in current science and proven protocols, but I meet you where you are. My approach is direct and action-oriented: we translate insights into practical steps, track progress, and adjust as needed. I embrace health at every size, focusing on behaviors and wellbeing rather than a number on a scale. Your first session with Amanda

Think of our first visit as a conversation designed to understand you. We'll review your medical history, lab work or biometrics, and your relationship with food in a safe, non-judgmental space. Together we'll set short-term goals you can actually achieve and feel proud of. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; I'll guide the conversation and help you identify where to start. Our goal is to build a practical plan that fits your life and supports steady, sustainable progress.
