About Amanda
Born and raised Alaskan, now in the South! I'm now in Tennessee where I get to experience all four seasons (yay!), where I live with my husband and our furbabies, Pepsi & Brewski. I became a dietitian because I wanted to learn more about nutrition in a judgement free way for myself. Now I get to use my knowledge and evidence-based practice to help others!
Approach to care
Non-judgement! Together we will find sustainable practices to support a healthy lifestyle to reach your goals. I like to focus on overall health and well-being, not just numbers on the scale. There is no good and bad to food, just choices. I like to focused on the add-in approach where we add healthier choices to our day to day, but yes, can still also enjoy cake. :)
Your first session with Amanda
We will uncover your goals of care and explore your current habits. We will explore eating habits, exercise habits, and discuss ways to promote health for where we are at. After this, we will find achievable changes to practice, building up until you've met your target. We will work in small steps so we have successes each time.
