About Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a Registered Dietitian with over 14 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I have spent many years in hospital inpatient care, nutrition support (with a specialty in enteral and parenteral nutrition), and over seven years in outpatient care of kidney, cardiovascular, diabetes, and weight management. I love helping people feel more confident and at peace with food. I will help guide you to create simple, realistic changes that fit your lifestyle. Food is fuel, but so much more. It connects us to our identity, culture, and community. I'm passionate about helping you rediscover those connections and learn to nourish yourself in ways that supports long-term health and joy.
Approach to care
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, and supportive. I take the time to listen, understand your unique goals, and work with you to find solutions that feel achievable and sustainable. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling encouraged, empowered, and ready to take the next step toward better health.
Your first session with Amanda
You are in the driver's seat. We'll start by getting to know you. I want to learn about your goals, challenges, lifestyle, and what matters most to you. I’ll ask questions to understand your health history, eating habits, and daily routine, but this is also your space to share your story. We’ll focus on small, meaningful steps that make sense for your life. I like to say: Let me digest the science for you, so you can fuel the change. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with clear next steps, encouragement, and the confidence that you don’t have to figure this out alone.

Hobbies
Outside of work, I’m a mom to three awesome kids. I love sewing, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time at the beach. Exploring new foods and sharing meals together as a family is something I truly value. I’m always learning, always in motion, and I hope to travel more in the future.
