About Amanda
My passion for nutrition began in college when I learned that I could make a career out of two things I love: cooking and medicine. I believe that food is meant to not only nourish and heal our bodies, but also to be enjoyed with those that we love. For the past 19 years, I have been educating individuals and groups on strategies to make healthier food choices and strengthen their relationship with food using a realistic and practical approach. When I’m not working, I recharge with family time, testing new recipes, reading, Pilates, and playing mahjong.
Approach to care
Science guides my recommendations and compassion shapes how we get there. As a busy wife and mom, I understand the challenges faced when it comes to grocery shopping, meal planning, food preparation, and tailoring your diet to meet YOUR specific needs. I use evidence-based strategies to teach the why behind each change. We'll set clear, practical steps and build accountability together to help you create long-term sustainable changes.
Your first session with Amanda
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history, go over any lab work or biometrics you bring, and establish one or two short-term goals to get started. You don't need to have everything figured out before our visit. We'll work together to come up with a plan that leaves you feeling empowered to take control of your health.
