Patient reviews
βAmanda is truly an exceptional dietitian! From our very first session, she has been incredibly helpful, supportive, and genuinely knowledgeable. What sets her apart is her ability to make me feel completely heard and capable, even on days when I struggle. She's not just guiding me on my dietary journey, but empowering me to believe in myself and my ability to make positive changes. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective dietitian!β

About Amanda
Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm a Registered Dietitian based in Lakeland, Florida, with 11 years of experience across clinical and hospital settings, community health, private practice, renal, dialysis, long term care, and rehab environments. I earned my degree from Keiser University and practice with the RDN credential. When I'm not at the desk, you might find me refinishing furniture, painting, or working on crafts, little projects that remind me to stay curious and present. I value getting to know you beyond charts and labs, and I believe every person has a unique story that informs their nutrition journey.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based science with genuine warmth. I use an empathetic, nonjudgmental approach and focus on Health At Every Size (HAES) principles, because lasting health comes from sustainable habits, not quick fixes. We will work together to translate the science into practical steps that fit your life, values, and culture. My goal is to educate and empower you so you can make informed choices, feel confident in your food decisions, and build a healthier relationship with eating and your body. I take a holistic view, considering sleep, stress, movement, and your mental well-being as part of your overall health, aiming for long-term change through education and collaboration.
Your first session with Amanda
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history, lab work, biometrics, and discuss your lifestyle and short-term goals. There's no pressure to have everything figured out ahead of time; this is a collaborative conversation where we get to know each other. We'll talk about your relationship with food, what matters to you, and what support you need. By the end, you'll have a couple of clear steps to begin with and a sense that you have a teammate in your corner.
