About Amanda
My passion for becoming a Registered Dietitian began in high school when I wanted to become a baker. Fast forward, as a senior, I interned at a nearby bakery, where I realized that being hands-on in a bakery wasn't what I was interested in. I took an intro nutrition course in college where I fell in love with the field. I was able to use my passion my food while also helping people. I have worked in several nursing homes and am currently working at a behavioral health facility.
Approach to care
I would like to meet you where you are and figure out how we can move forward through diet and lifestyle changes. I want to look towards long-term goals rather than short-term ones. One size does not fit all, and all clients will have an individualized approach. I do not believe in a strict diet rather a well-balanced, nutritious diet.
Your first session with Amanda
In our first session, I would like to collect information from you to get an idea of your history, habits, lifestyle etc. This information will give me an idea of what your background is, and we can discuss what your goals are. We can create long and short-term goals, and I can check in with you during our follow-up sessions to see how they are coming along.
