About Amanda

I’m a registered dietitian with roots in both Florida and Puerto Rico. Food and movement have always been at the heart of my story. For me, food is joy, comfort, and connection. I earned my degree from the University of North Florida and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Puerto Rico. I love helping people discover that healthy eating healthy can be enjoyable, simple and affordable. Over the past two years working in community settings, I’ve shared budget-friendly, practical tips that actually fit real life—because wellness should feel accessible to everyone. Outside of counseling, you’ll usually find me dancing, watching horror films, training for triathlons, or finding new ways to bring a little joy and flavor into everyday life.

Approach to care

My approach is holistic, patient-centered, and judgment-free. I believe food is so much more than fuel - it’s cultural, emotional, and deeply personal. That’s why I focus on gentle guidance, myth-busting, and evidence-based strategies that honor your story and your preferences. Together, we’ll work on building long-term habits that fit your lifestyle, rather than short-term solutions that fizzle out. I take pride in creating a space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to advocate for yourself - especially in medical settings where it can be easy to feel overlooked. I’ll always meet you where you are, whether that means honoring your cultural foods, navigating unique barriers, or simplifying nutrition in a way that makes sense for you and your family.

Your first session with Amanda

In our first session, my priority is to listen to your story. We’ll talk about your current habits, goals, and challenges, and then we’ll set a few realistic, actionable steps to get you started. You can expect a conversation that’s collaborative and personal - not a lecture. My goal is for you to leave that first session with clarity, motivation, and a sense of relief that change is possible without giving up the foods you love.
