About Amanda
Hi, I'm Amanda, MS, RDN, LD. I bring 16 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. I have a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with Dietetic Emphasis. My career spans clinical and hospital settings, community health, and long-term care, and I value the wealth of perspectives each patient brings. Outside of clinic life, I love baking, listening to audiobooks, playing board and card games, podcasting, and True Crime stories. I’m passionate and eager to help people feel in control of their health and nutrition, whatever their goals.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science and humanity. I stay grounded in current research and clear, evidence-based guidance while maintaining an empathetic, warm, nonjudgmental space. We’ll work together with direct, action-oriented steps that you can actually fit into your life, prioritizing sustainable habits over short-term fixes. I practice from a holistic perspective, focusing on behavior and wellbeing rather than a number on a scale. Education is crucial to a healthy journey with me, which empowers you to make informed choices aligned with your values.
Your first session with Amanda
Think of our first appointment as a conversation, not an evaluation. Our time is all about you. We'll review your medical history, learn about your daily life and interests, and discuss your short-term and long-term health goals. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before we meet. I want you to feel seen and supported. Together we’ll set 1 to 2 realistic next steps to start building lasting, feel-good habits you can maintain.
