About Amanda
Eighteen years of experience as a registered dietitian. I've worked in the setting of wellness programming, partial outpatient eating disorder counseling, inpatient behavioral health nutrition therapy, inpatient acute medical care clinical nutrition, and as an adjunct higher education nutrition instructor.
Approach to care
My approach involves careful and empathetic listening. I take into consideration your preferences and values. I enjoy respectfully collaborating with you and any additional treatment team providers you are working with in order to achieve your goals. By listening to your questions and concerns I will be able to provide you with safe and effective nutrition guidance. I offer accountability along the way.
Your first session with Amanda
I'll want to understand how I can help you. I'll ask some open-ended questions aimed at assessing your dietary intake, your nutrition goals and your relationship with food. Before the conclusion of our session we'll select a follow-up schedule that is convenient for you.

π Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Education
MS degree Nutrition from Saint Joseph University, West Hartford, CT. BS degree Nutrition & Dietetics from West Chester University, West Chester, PA. AS degree Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster, PA.
Hobbies
My hobbies are ever changing because I am wired with a need for continual learning and growing. Working as an RD feels like a hobby to me because I enjoy my work and continually learn at work! Recently I've been painting with watercolors and making polymer clay jewelry. I enjoy cooking, gardening, and the outdoors. In the past I've taken up challenges such as rope climbing and learning to oil paint.
