About Amber

Hi, I'm Amber. I’m a Registered Dietitian with 24 years of experience, based in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I earned my BS in Nutrition from Western Kentucky University and have worked across clinical and hospital settings, private practice, community health, long term care, and acute rehabilitation. I carry the postnominals RDN, LD with pride. Outside of work I love watching all sports, and I enjoy getting to know my clients and hearing about their everyday lives. I believe nutrition is about balance, learning, and lasting change, and I live by the motto "everything in moderation."

Approach to care

My approach is evidence based, empathetic, and educational. I combine current science with a warm, nonjudgmental stance so you feel seen and supported. We’ll work together on practical steps that fit your life and goals, aiming for sustainable change rather than quick fixes. I practice through Health At Every Size, or HAES, a weight neutral, body respectful lens that keeps the person at the center. We look at sleep, stress, and daily routines as part of a holistic picture.

Your first session with Amber

Our first appointment will be a warm, collaborative conversation. Think of it as a space to share your medical history, current lifestyle, relationship with food, and what you hope to change. We'll review lab work and biomarkers together and set short term goals that feel doable. You don't need to have everything figured out; I love learning about your daily routines and what matters most to you. Together we will build a simple plan you can start this week with support and accountability. I am not an RD that will just give you a set menu and expect you to follow. Your goals will be based on changes you can make to your current routine.
