Patient reviews
βAmber and I relate on lots of things and she's excellent at calling me out for using unsupportive language and teaching me about how foods work for the body, she's evening I could ask for in a dietitianβ
June 7th, 2024βAmber is attentive, she takes time to celebrate wins that I may not see as wins. She's enthusiastic about the information she's sharing for me to learn and that makes it so much easier to absorb all the knowledge. I wish everybody had this info available from someone equally enthusiastic and encouraging.β
August 2nd, 2024βAmber is communicative, succinct, and personable, I mean what else could I ask for that doesn't require magic lolβ

About Amber
A registered dietitian with a passion for combining non-diet nutrition education and body awareness to support clients in improving knowledge and understanding of their individual body, health conditions, and symptom patterns. Knowledge is a powerful foundation on which clients can build confidence in their ability to maintain sustainable, positive changes long-term. Specialties include diabetes, glucose management, PCOS, cholesterol and blood pressure management, eating disorders & disordered eating patterns. Additional areas: food allergies/intolerance, gastrointestinal disorders, GERD, IBS, nutrient deficiency, and navigating medical necessity diets such as post bariatric, renal, etc.
Approach to care
My role is to provide a safe encouraging environment to help guide clients on their individual road to what health means for them. I use a non-diet, patient-centered, trauma-informed, and weight-inclusive approach that supports clients in identifying and navigating barriers to managing health conditions. Respectful of culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, religious/spiritual beliefs, neurodiversity, cognitive and physical abilities, educational level, and socioeconomic status to develop realistic tools and coping mechanisms. I use evidence-based markers of health such as lab results and symptom tracking monitoring to support clients in determining what works best for their body.
Your first session with Amber
Our first session is getting to know each other, I want to know about YOU and what brought you to nutrition therapy. Your individual story is important, and it matters. And what questions might you have about me? Additionally, we will go over a standard nutrition intake assessment that includes relevant medical history, diagnoses, current symptoms, labs, eating patterns, relationship to food and body, medications, stress levels, movement, and more. This initial session allows for us to begin working collaboratively to create a flexible personalized plan of care. My personality style is bubbly, energetic, encouraging, casual, and humorous.
