About Amy
Amy is a passionate and dedicated registered dietitian with a strong commitment to helping patients achieve their health goals through personalized, research-based nutrition guidance. After finishing both undergraduate schooling (from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign) and a masters degree in clinical nutrition (from Rush University Chicago), Amy has been working as a clinical dietitian in the inpatient and outpatient settings at a large academic medical center. Specializing in gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes management, and weight management, Amy focuses on creating tailored nutrition plans that address each individual's unique needs. With a deep understanding of the latest scientific research, Amy works closely with clients to provide compassionate care, empower healthier lifestyles, and foster long-term wellness.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition care is rooted in the belief that health comes in all sizes and that every individual deserves respect, support, and personalized care. I embrace the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy, focusing on body positivity and helping clients feel empowered and confident in their own skin, regardless of their body shape or size. My approach is research-based, grounded in the latest scientific findings, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. I work collaboratively with my clients, creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can explore their challenges and successes together, building a path toward long-term health and well-being that aligns with their values and lifestyle.
Your first session with Amy
During our first visit, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand your health history, lifestyle, and any past experiences with nutrition or dietary changes—both what has worked for you and what hasn’t. This will help me better understand your unique needs and challenges. We’ll also discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through our sessions together, whether it’s managing a specific health condition, improving overall wellness, or creating a sustainable, balanced approach to nutrition. My focus will be on creating a personalized plan that aligns with your values and sets you up for success.
