About Amy
Amy completed her Masters Degree in Nutrition and dietetic internship at Meredith College in 2017. Her experience as a dietitian spans from clinical nutrition to weight management and cardio/pulmonary rehab. She is currently working on her specialist certification in diabetes education. She loves to help with troubleshooting blood sugars through diet and how to get the most out of your CGM! When she's not at work, you can find her gardening, baking sourdough, walking at the park, or playing with her 3 year-old son!
Approach to care
My approach to care has been described by former patients as "nudging, not judging". I aim to help you find ways to incorporate healthy habits into your daily routine. We will start small and work towards those big goals over time. My approach to change is to first see what we can add, rather than what needs to be taken away.
Your first session with Amy
First, we will discuss what brings you to me. I like to walk through a typical day of eating to identify any patterns, provide some actionable steps, then set some goals to work on prior to your next visit. I also like to leave time for us to chat and get to know each other as well.
