About Amy
Hi, Iām Amy, aka The Running Dietitian - a registered dietitian and self-proclaimed professional carb loader. Iāve run 9 marathons, tackled ultra marathons, and even completed a 100-mile raceā¦yeah, still not entirely sure why either. I help runners fuel their bodies so they can perform their best, recover faster, and still have energy for the marathon of life (yes, donuts and pizza are absolutely allowed). Whether itās dialing in your pre-run snack, optimizing recovery, or cutting through the endless āeat this, not thatā advice, Iāve got you covered. No matter the distance ā 5K, half, full, or ultra ā proper nutrition can make or break your race, and Iām here to make sure itās the former. Fuel. Run. Repeat. Have fun while doing it.
Approach to care
Every runner is different, so I focus on helping you fuel your body in a way that supports your training, recovery, and overall health while still enjoying the foods you love. I believe in teaching you why certain foods and timing matter so you can make confident choices. My goal is to give you the tools to feel energized, run stronger, and maintain a healthy relationship with food and exercise, all while keeping running fun.
Your first session with Amy
Weāll start by getting to know you, your running goals, and your current eating habits. Iāll ask about your training, lifestyle, and any challenges youāre facing with fueling, recovery, or performance. Together, weāll identify small, practical changes that make a big difference and start building a plan that fits your life. Youāll walk away with actionable strategies for pre-run, during-run, and post-run nutrition, plus tips to feel energized and recover faster.
