About Amy

Hi, I’m Amy, a Registered Dietitian based in Detroit with 12 years of experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Bowling Green State University and completed the Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship. My work has taken me through clinical and hospital settings, private practice, and residential eating disorder treatment. When I’m not meeting with clients, you’ll find me running, hiking, traveling, sipping coffee, reading, or planning my next foodie adventure. I’m glad you’re here.

Approach to care

My care philosophy blends evidence-based practice with empathy and practical guidance. I stay grounded in current science and translate it into clear, achievable steps you can try this week. I practice with a weight-neutral, Health At Every Size lens, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than dieting culture. We’ll work together in a holistic way that honors your mental, emotional, and physical health, and I’ll educate you so you can make informed choices. Real change happens gradually, with accountability, compassion, and patience.

Your first session with Amy

Our first appointment is a warm, welcoming conversation designed to put you at ease. We’ll review your medical and diet history as well as your current health habits. We’ll also begin developing initial goals to get you started. You don’t need to have every detail figured out; think of it as a collaborative kickoff where we listen, ask questions, and map out a realistic plan together. You’ll leave feeling understood, supported, and with a clear sense of the next steps.
